SUPERB & RARE PAIR NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN PLAINS BEADWORK BEADED LEGGINGS
I will be selling a good number of interesting antiques this week including Tribal art, Chinese, Japanese and European antiques. I will probably be listing additional items on Friday 19th so please come back for a look later. PLEASE NOTE: This sale is in GB Pounds Sterling.
This sale is for a fantastic pair of Native American Indian Plains beadwork leggings. They are both thread and sinew (for the larger work) sewn and the leather / suede appears very well used as is evident from the colour and its\' supple nature in the hand. I acquired them a few years ago from a collector here in Belgium and I have always believed them to be original but there is a chance that they are not so I would ask that you request any extra images should you need them and please email with other questions as I am aware that Native American beadwork pieces are being replicated to an extremely high standard these days and I do not perhaps handle enough of it over here in Europe. If in any doubt please do not offer as I would prefer not to have a disappointed buyer at the end. That said they are beautifully made and look fantastic when displayed on the wall and clearly a huge amount of time and work has gone in to making them so good luck with the offerding.

Condition & DimensionsVery good overall condition. Some slight old insect damage and a few beads missing and some stitching loose in places but nothing too serious as the photos show.
Each beadwork strip measures about 26\" / 66cms long and the overall maximum length as laid out is about 53\" / 135cms long.

Postage & PackingFor your peace of mind and mine items will be sent fully insured. I will be posting from WEDNESDAY 31ST MAY so please make payment as early as possible, ideally within 3 working days. PLEASE be a little patient with the post - I will get them posted asap but I work on my own, have a large amount to post and I do pack carefully. I also post in the order that things are paid for.
Any delays by the postal services either at my end or abroad are rarely my fault. I always post out at the latest 3 working days after receiving cleared payment but sometimes an item is slowed up by a backlog of post or delayed whilst being processed through customs. To give you an idea it generally takes about 3-7 working days within Europe and 7 - 14 working days to the U.S. / rest of the world. If speed is of the essence then I can use a courier (Parcelforce) but prices for couriers start at around £30 / £40GBP for the very smallest object and VERY quickly escalate depending on size, weight and destination. Please note also that there was a considerable hike in postage prices by the Royal Mail last year. I add on very little, often not enough to cover the packaging materials, so the price I quote really is as fair as possible.
