Superb 19thc Black Forest oak carved tree with vase to the top and with a large bird and a bee by a nest. Dating c.1870.

Excellent and really beautiful attention to carved detail on this fine and quality carved piece. One large bird perched on the side of the tree which appears to be chasing away a bee. Large nest/opening to the top of the tree. Stunning and intricate relief carved detail to this Black Forest carving. Finely carved leaves surrounding the trunk of the tree.

Measures some 9.25\" height x some 5.5\" at base.

Excellent and lovely age commensurate condition. Minor nibbles to some leaf edges. Fine line along the bird\'s upper wing - but this is entirely superficial and is not through the wing at all: this is of no import and mentioned for accuracies sake. All as per images.
