SUPERB ANTIQUE FRENCH BED CANOPY HALF TESTER CIEL DE LIT c1900 ROSE CARTOUCHE

This is a superb antique French bed canopy, ciel de lit or half tester from the late 1800s/early 1900s.
It is a superb interiors piece and has divine pleated green silk damask still in place although this could be changed as required.
The wood is walnut and it has taken on a warm nut brown with the passage of time.
The canopy is a gentle curved \"easy on the eye\" shape with a beautiful rose bouquet cartouche at the middle. One of the top leaves is missing but the colour is dark and it does not detract or stand out in any way.
There is no woodowrm or damage and it is all good and strong.
The silk is as all good and strong with no deterioration to any of the fibres and the design is a classic floral that is trimmed with a co ordinating silk braid.
The measurements are:
Width 5 feet 7\" (170cms)
Height at central cartouche 5.5\" (14cms)
