Description Asuperbheavyearly-dated Englishantique18th Century George IIsolid sterling silverbun pepper potby the silversmith Benjamin West - (1736-1739), in lovely condition and with full English silver hallmarks for London 1736. Excellent qualitygenuine 282 year oldsterling silver example; stunning early Georgian shape withits original tight-fitting pull-off silver pierced lid and has a fine heavy silver weight, 92 grams.Engraved with a beautiful early period estate crest. A very nice all original piece.

Date English antique18th Century George IIsolid sterling silver,with a full set of English silver hallmarks for London 1736, (date letter \"a\"). Also stamped with an early lion passant/gardantsterling silver mark and alsothe crowned leopards head stamp of the London assay office.No marks on the pierced lid, but again quite normal and is almost certainly the original. No silver duty stamp as made well before the silver duty act.

ConditionLovely antique condition,and ready to be used. Nosplits or cracks to the silver, no solder repairs and no nasty knocks or dents, a few minor little surface bruises, really nothing and a very nice genuine 282 year old example.The pierced silver pull-off lid is almostdefinitely the original and is a good tight fit. A really fine early original silver pepper, (not later decorated as is often the case) and with an excellent heavy silver weight.Direct from a private estate and a good usable investment piece.Shipping and packing and rates
