Wonderful portrayal & decoration of the large sheep with applied chipped decoration.

A male horned sheep, ram and a female sheep, ewe.

Separate rear legs.

To the front of the sheep: the kilted male figure & female figurine in delightful dress attire with plumed onto the decorativeoval base with the gilt bands.

Eachhas an overall height of about 8.25inches.

Max overall size of the hollowed base of about 4.75 x 2.25inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition to both is excellent and both are notsubject to:

any major blemishes.

Due to age: overall fine crazing which appears heavier crazing lines to the rear.

Also, again due to age: areas of rubbing.

Besides being a very collectable,pair of mid 19th centurylarge Staffordshire sheepwith the applied chipped decor, with the kilted male & female figurines in the foreground, c1860s, bothwould also look fabulous displayed.
