These are a superb pair of Staffordshire seated spaniel dogs of which:

During our research we have been informed they certainlydate from the mid 19th century.

Date about c1860.

Rustic red & white.

Gilt collar & locks.

Pottery.

A pair of Staffordshire spaniels with their wonderful facial decoration and overall portrayals.

A left & a right.

Each has an overall height of about 6.5inches.

Hollowed bases with overall sizes of about 4.75 x 2.5inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition is excellent with one having:

a chip to the front foot and hole under the base.

Due to age: both are subject to overall fine crazing with minor areas of colour loss.

All as perpictures.

Besides being a very collectable pair of mid 19th century Staffordshire seated rustic red & white spaniel dogs, c1860s, both would also look fabulous displayed.
