Description Abeautiful rare decorative English antiqueVictorian solid sterling silver \"novelty\" table snuff box in the form of a bureau/desk by the silversmith Samuel Boyce Landeck and with a full set of English silver hallmarks for Sheffield 1895. Excellent quality genuine 121 year old sterling silver box, with a hinged lid and all over decorated with embossed figures and scrolls and inside it is complete with its original fully gilded interior. It rests on 4 undamaged silver scrolled legs.There are no added personal engraved inscriptions or monograms and it weighs 35 grams.

Date English antiqueVictorian solid sterling silver with a full set of English silver hallmarks for Sheffield 1895(date letter \"c\"). Excellent clear struck marks with further English hallmark on the lid too. Includes the extra letter \"F\" stamp denoting imported silver. There is also a set of Dutch/German silver hallmarks including a \"930\" grade silver stamp.

ConditionLovely condition, no splits or cracks, definitely no wear holes and no nasty knocks or dents, a very nice antique silver box. The silver hinged lid works perfectly and the interior gilding is original and still virtually 100% intact. Possibly tiny repair on the hinge, honestly nothing much at all, could actually be part of the original manufacturing. Superb novelty shape and the 4 silver scroll legs are undamaged.There are no added personal engraved inscriptions or monograms. Direct from a private estate.
