Survivor 1948 Seeburg Model 148 ML Trashcan Jukebox / All Original / One Owner
Price: US $1500.00
Up for sale is a survivor 1948, Seeburg Model 148-ML “Trashcan”Jukebox. I recently acquired thisjukebox from the original owners at their house sale. They were the second owners of the box, having bought it when it came out of service in 1951. It has been in the family ever since. The box is about as all original and completeof a 148-ML that I have ever seen. Thebox is 99% complete and all original. The only pieces I could see missing were the original locks and the twochrome title strip trims.

Mechanics: Themechanism works. It will have to beserviced, but I put power to the mechanism and brought it up slowly with avariac and it cycles fine and appears to run at speed. The mechanism has been set to 45 and has the45 tray inserts. There appeared to be anold repair to the drive arm on the back on the mechanism but it appeared towork fine and cycled fine. All of the water decals on the mechanism and the mechanism cover are in excellent original condition.

Amplifier: All of theoriginal tube amp and sound equipment appears to be present. The amp fired up and sound did come out ofthe speaker via the cartridge. I wouldassume through that the new owner will want to go through the amp.

Remote Box: I believethe jukebox has the wireless box for the Diner/ Wall Boxes. It comes untested.

Cabinet / Plastics:All cabinet parts with the exception of the two title strip trim piecesare present. The rear door is there andall spinner /color lights are present. The original plastics are present but will need a new plastic kit whichis standard when finding one of these boxes. The dome is in really nice shape with no cracks. The chrome on the box is in really nice shapeas you can see from the photos. Thecabinet has been repainted at some point in its life. Whoever did it did a very professional joband it looks great. it should have been the \"blonde\" but was done in the brown. the original paint is present on the inside of the box and the back door. The door mirrors aremissing but new mirror kits are available. This is a metal cabinet and there are nomajor dings and the box rolls really nice on the original casters.

Coin Gear: All coin mechanisms are present with allthe originalgrinder, coin shoots, and cash box. Theinstruction glass and the uber tough to find selection cups are present with nowarping.

All in all this is a survivor box. It is fresh from the original family that hasowned it in the same house and same basement since 1951. This will be a great restoration project andyou will have a very, very original complete box. There are NO reproduction parts on this jukebox. It is all original. The box is currently in my garage at my houseso pickup will be easy with no stairs.Winning buyer to make all shipping arrangements. I will deliver within 100 miles of RockfordIllinois for a fee. I will work with thebuyer and their shipping agent and can hold the box until pickup with noproblems. There will be no returns on this due to the size and weight of the machine.
