Very good condition and guaranteed original Swiss Model 1842artillery/pionier sawback short sword. Maker marked “WAFFENFABRIK NEUHAUSEN” onthe right side of the blade. Left side of blade has a serial number and dated“15” for 1915. 20 ¼” blade has beautiful original bright finish and sharp crispsaw teeth. Missing the washer at the base. Brass handle has nice lookingpatina. Fitted in correct original leather scabbard that has brass throat andtip. Leather shows some normal wear, stitching and rivets are nice and tight. Anice, scarce Swiss sawback sword that will make a fine addition to yourcollection.
