Very good condition Swiss Model 1914Schmidt Rubin pionier sawback bayonet that is maker marked “WAFFENFABRIKNEUHAUSEN” on the right ricasso. Massive 18 ¾” blade has original bright finishwith some gray and brown. Has been sharpened. Saw teeth are sharp and crisp.Remaining metal finish is original bright with some brown. Wood grips haveoriginal finish and a good tight fit. Right side has a carved “H”. Lock buttonfunctions fine. Fitted in correct original steel scabbard that has originalblack paint showing some wear and flaking, and one dent. Bayonet is alsocomplete with original leather frog that is maker marked and dated 1937.Leather is soft and supple with some normal wear. Stitching and rivets aretight.
