target front sights with internal level and inserts

I\'ve been building sights for a good many years, and many matches have been won with them including national and international matches, and world championships. This is a fairly new front sight that we have been building for a few years. These sights pictured are the .625\" and the .850\" tall sights, but we make a shorter one as mentioned below. These sights are the same approximate size as the Lyman 17a series of sights, and use the same size aperture inserts. The sight aperture inserts are just under 1/2\" in diameter. They have a level installed inside the sight to help eliminate canting of the rifle. The level is inside the sight to help protect it from getting knocked around and help shade it from the glare of the sun. This front sight comes in three different heights. All heights are measured from the bottom of the dovetail to the center of the sight aperture. The heights available are .5\" (1/2\"), .625\" (5/8\"), and .850\" ( Just under 7/8\"). These sights also come in several dovetail sizes. ( not all dovetails are available on all sizes) Standard 3/8\" dovetail for all modern rifles, and old Winchesters. .437\" dovetail for the C-Sharps arms rifles. .450\" dovetail for the Shilo Sharps rifles. Keep in mind that many of the current production rifles built in Japan, and Italy will have slightly over sized 3/8\"dovetail cuts, so we have begun making our sight dovetails just a little over sized on the 3/8\" dovetail to help match those over sized dovetail cuts and also used stretched dovetails as well. Each of our front sights comes with a set of our famous aperture assortment sets that are made from .010\" thick spring steel. Our inserts are manufactured using a technique that gives it a three step edge so the actual sighting edge is no more than about .003\" to .004\" thick. Making an exceptionally sharp sight picture possible. If you have questions concerning these sights or any of our other products feel free to give us a call at [phone removed by ] 8:00 to 5:00 M-F (closed during lunch) or send me an email via .Which one do I need? Well, for single shot buffalo rifles the shortest one is by far the most popular. If you have a fairly light barrel, or want to move the line of sight above the barrel a little then go with the .625\" sight. If you have a light barrel, and a large action such as the Browning low walls, or the H&R Buffalo classics then you will need the tallest one to get the line of sight up over the action. If you are going to use one of our muzzle loading soule sights on a Gibbs or other muzzle loader you will probably want the taller one also. Thanks for looking and have a great day.
