LONDON: Printed by Charles Bill and Thomas Newcomb, and the Executrix of Thomas Newcomb Desceas\'d, MDCCII, 1702 (Published date 1702). Thick Royal 4to. 11\" x 8.5\" Inches (LxB). With the extra engraved title, general title & the New Testament title present & all three are dated 1702. The first title page is engraved by Wm. Hone. Apocrypha present, text printed in black letter. Fine original full gilt paneled black morocco leather binding, rebacked spine with gilt decorations to the 5 raised bands. Collates per Herbert 870 (679) - Lee (Memorial, pp 203 - 4) states that many copies of this edition were sent to Libraries in the Highlands. Additional general title engraved, text ends on [Kkkk] 2 b, followed by Index and tables. Dates are BC and AD. Accession of Queen Anne: 8 March, 1702. Dedication To the most high and mighty Prince James; Bible including Apocrypha; An Index to the Holy Bible; Tables of Scripture-Measure, Weights and Coins; ending with A Table of Offices and Conditions of Men, bound with The Book of Common Prayer at the start & the Whole Book of Psalms at the end, both complete & both are also dated 1702.A classic work. CONDITION REPORT: A rare book in a fine original full black morocco leather binding, gilt decorated spine sympathetically rebacked in antique style, using matching black calf leather, gilt decorated spine with 5 raised bands, and gilt lettering in the second compartment (See Scans below), some wear/tear, scuffing, to covers, ends & corners (See Scans below), pages with some age toning, soiling throughout, are clean & bright (See Scans below), the binding is tight & intact (See Scans below). The leather is smooth & supple to the touch (See Scans below). Note: Previous owners ink signature on the front blank, new blank endpapers added(See Scans below). Tiny bookplate on the front pastedown. A scarce title(See Scans below).
