Repurposing at its finest... what is a more useful and positive way to give new life and pay homage to the creatures once used in the making of fur garments? I love to reinvent fresh and new collectible teddy bears and bunnies, using only the finest vintage fur. All my bears and bunnies are made with the utmost care and precision and comprise only the finest materials. Considerable time and attention goes into each and every one of my creations. And each one is my own personal design, unique and individual.

I am excited to introduce my newest teddy bear, a lovely girl named Toyah. She is a bit of a departure from my usual mink bears. Toyah is made from a gorgeous fox fur coat I came across recently. She\'s a real pet and has such an endearing quality about her. Fox has a lovely dense underfur and sleek soft long guard hairs tipped cream and black. You can see from the fur around face where I have scissor sculpted that the underfur is layered with shades of both gray and gold. It is very striking. Toyah comes with a custom fit felt hat that I made from a vintage lady\'s hat. It is embellished with a vintage pin and can be worn with or without the flowers which tuck nicely into the snug brim. The pictures do not do Toyah bear justice; she is much prettier and more luxurious in the fur.

• Toyah stands at 13\", not including ears, and sits at 9 1/2\". She has a small pouch of steel shot in her belly and weighs 1 lb 3 oz (530 g)
  
• She has beautiful hand painted amber glass eyes and hand sculpted synthetic clay eyelids featuring painted and sealed sclera (eye white)
• Her black textured nose is hand sculpted from synthetic clay
  
• Her 4 gold colored leather paw pads are needle sculpted and hand shaded
  
• Toyah is 5-way jointed; discs, washers, bolts, lock nuts in arms and legs and cotter-pin jointed for a semi wobbly neck joint, allowing for some very cute head tilts
  
• She has wire armature in her arms and legs to allow for gentle bending the elbow and knee
  
• Her legs are slightly bent and she is not intended to stand on her own
• Included with Toyah is her custom made felt hat with flowers and feather, and her Canadian made clay pot containing a beautiful hand painted artificial strawberry plant.
  

Toyah bears the signature \"Linda Joan\" on a leather tag attached to her derriere and as with all my creations, is dated and numbered and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and a hang tag. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like additional information or pictures.

I have been designing and handcrafting teddy bears and bunnies for 17 years. I am honored and humbled to have received numerous international awards, including URSA, Bears of Excellence, Toby (Industry Choice and People\'s Choice), Golden Teddy, Ace, and Sydney People\'s Choice. I am a Juried member of the New Brunswick Crafts Council, have been published and appeared on Canada\'s national French television network, TVA.
