Vintage Signed Crown Trifari Sterling Silver Rhinestones Jeweled Royal Crown Pin + Matching Earrings. Designed by Alfred Philippe.
Crown pin measures 2\" in height and 1 3/4\" width. Total weight is 22.7 grams. Hallmarked \"Sterling Des. Pat No. 137542\" and \"Trifari\" with the crown over the T. Highlighted with red, blue, green and white sparkling rhinestones, large red & blue cabochons. Lovely details.
Matching earrings each measure 1\" in height. Total weight is 9.2 grams. Clip backs. Hallmarked \"Trifari\" with a crown over the T. Large deep red cabochon with a smaller faceted blue stone and little sparkling clear stones.
Early 1930 Alfred Philippe joined as head designer, he is considered a top craftsman who worked in fine jewelry for Cartier and Van Cleef and Arpels. His designs became very popular. The company was run 1910 to 1975 by the originating founders and sons of those founders.
