This horn is a King Super 20 Symphony model made H.N. White. The finish is raw brass with a sterling silver leadpipe. The valves are tight and the horn is gig-ready. The serial number is 347887 which makes its date of manufacture about 1956. The horn is a dual bore design, sometimes called a stepped bore. The larger bore is .468.
The case is original and in good condition except that the spring is broken on the middle latch. The other two latches work well.
Make no mistake, I have played for more than 50 years and can safely tell you that this horn is a giant killer, professional large bore horn. It is superb lead horn. It has a dark rich sound in the low and mid ranges, and sizzles in the upper range. The double G\'s and A\'s will peel paint if you lean on them a little, while ballads in the mid-range are so beautiful they bring tears to your eyes.
