For offer is a beautiful and unusual old Weller pottery vase. It is 8.5\" tall and 4\" in diameter. The vase is stamped with \"Weller\" in a half-circle on the bottom. The piece\'s color is a blue to buff matte ombre, with hand-painted glossy blue centers to flowers. The blue ombre looks similar to Weller art nouveau patterns, while the flowers themselves are similar to Weller Flemish patterns. There are 4 imprinted flowers on the front of the vase, as well as one on the back, each with a raised, hand-painted blue dome in the middle.
The vase itself is in excellent condition. There is crazing consistent with age, but no cracks or chips. The Weller stamp is clearly visible on the bottom. The interior is clean, but discolored consistent with use. There seems to be a slightly darker area of glaze to the left of the backside flower, but it looks to be part of the original glazing of the piece. There are also two tiny bubble-holes on the front of the piece, which also look to be original (Please see pictures). This piece has been marked on the bottom with VO / 85 in black.
Note: I am not an art pottery expert, historian, or appraiser. I have attempted to describe this vase as clearly and in as detailed a way as I can. This item was purchased at an estate sale in Wisconsin, and is offered for sale as-is.
I am happy to ship this beautiful vase within 2 business days of receiving payment. I do not accept returns, so please be sure to ask any questions before you offer! I am happy to answer any questions you may have. Good luck!
