U.S. WW1 COMBAT RIFLEMAN\'S WEB SET..NICE ORIGINAL USED GEAR PACKAGE
Price: US $270.00
I have for sale a complete United States WWI Combat Rifleman\'s web set in fine serviced used condition, other then the M-1910 F.A. pouch all found together. The M-1910 haversackis complete with only real damage to speak of is one of the inside blanket strap ends is missing as can be seen in pic\'s, still works and is a simple repair if so inclined. Marked on the back with soldiers initials and 1918 date, faded \"U.S.\" on front flap. Meat can pouch is complete showing the same wear as the pack. The M-1917 cartridge belt is in fine condition with just minor wear on some of the flaps from true use, nothing major to speak of with good fabric and stitching. It is the 10 pocket version able to hold 100 rounds of .30 ammo on 5 round chargers for use with the M-1917 Eddystone or M-1903 Springfield rifle\'s. All metal parts in solid working shape with everything strong and clean for the most part. Manufacturing markings to faded to read but all 3 parts of the belt marked the same with crossed cannons and unit I.D. it looks like. The M-1910 F.A. pouch is in fine condition other then soiling, well marked on the inside \"The M.H. CO.(Miller-Hexter Co.) 9-1918\", this comes with a nice un-opened mint WW2 issue field bandage to fill it out. A solid M-1910 canteen cover that is tight all around with no damage to really speak of, just soiling to the outside and shows a \"U.S.\" on the front along with unit markings and crossed cannons. Inside is in fine condition while showing factory markings on ear \"LONG 1917\". This comes loaded with a nice 1918 dated canteen and cup to fill it out. Last is a M-1916 squad leaders pouch in fine shape with only some miner soiling and marked on the back \"POWERS - 1918\" with good working snaps. I have had one that came loaded with message booklet but could hold anything needed. This will make an outstanding display and only needs a M-1905 bayonet andentrenchingcover/shovelto really fill it out, use it for live reenacting or living history as this is just the perfect set for a nice WW1 U.S. Army combat used doughboy look. This set DOES NOT come with the Ammo or blanket as they are just to show how it will look when displayed. This is a step above the WW1 era rig\'s normally offered with not many I have seen in complete condition like this with great color all around, the fact that all of this gear is 100% original and almost 100 years old really makes it something special in one shot.
