ANTIQUE HAMMOND Remodel Typewriter. Metal tag present under the space bar displays copywrite dates. There is "26540" stamped on the bar under the Bakelite ink spool on the right side. It is NOT marked Remodel anywhere I can see. I was told by another buyer that this is the model between the 1 & 2. Beautiful nickel with no rust, black keys with gold lettering (some wear) and original oak case. Case has some small scratches but overall In very good-condition. Needs typewriter tape and reconditioning. That's up to you!! Marked "HAMMOND" in gold elaborate font. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS for description.

Owned by one Family. " Used, certainly not bought as a curiosity. Lots of bookish types in our family who were overseas missionaries" The typewriter sat in its case in a closet for the last 50 years. Never restored during that time, no knowledge of any "restoration" previously. As purchased as far as we know.
