For sale is this extremely fine quality hand chased antique Persian tray. This tray is made from solid silver and weighs 947.4 grams.
The tray has been hand chased with beautiful scenes from the story of The King Bahram Gur watching Fitnah carry a Bull on her shoulders. It is a very famous Persian story and this story is often seen on Safavid manuscripts with hand Painted scenes to go with the stories.
It has been hand chased with some of the finest quality work I have seen on Persian silver.
The border has been decorated with scenes from the Ancient Achaemenid Empire. It has been completed in a high relief embossed finish which makes the scenes stand out and really come to life.
There is also scrolling floral work around the very finely chased central scene.This tray has a beautiful design completed to the finest of standards.The quality has to be seen to be fully appreciated.
It has been tested and is guaranteed to be solid silver of high purity above 800 grade.Size and Weight

It weighs a very impressive 947.4 grams. So it is nearly 1KG in weight!!It is in excellent condition. No dents or cracks, so it would make an excellent addition to your Persian silverware
