VERY FINE U.S. CIVIL WAR 1862 CAVALRY SWORD BY TIFFANY The very fine bright blade still shows the machine marks at the ricasso. There is no pitting, rusting or dark spots on the blade. The lower half of the blade appears to be very slightly sharpened. On one side of the blade at the ricasso is \"Tiffany & Co. - New York\" and the other side is \"PDL\". The grip and wire wrap are totally intact. The iron hilt, guard and pommel are in prime condition. The scabbard has a grayish brown patina with no dents or dings. There is no rust, corrosion or pitting on the scabbard. The blade handle and grip are very tight with no play whatsoever. The sword fits perfectly snug into the scabbard.
