Very Large Early Archaic Paleo Knife Hardin Co, IA Great Material 6.15/16 x 2.75:
I've had this point for a couple of months and have really enjoyed having it in my collection. This point was part of a old collection that has been in storage for many years and hasn't been out in over 40 years. This blade was found in Hardin Co, Iowa and is made from a unbelievable material with bands of gold, red and white. I have never figured out how to type this blade, I think that it is either related to the Dalton Culture or is a very large Thebes Culture Knife. This point is massive and measures in at 6.15/16 inches long and is 2.75 inches wide a big handful of flint. This piece is labeled as coming from the Brown and Montague Collections. I don't know much about either of these collections but I believe Brown to be Allen Brown of Chicago, IL. Allen Brown was the author of Indian Relics and their Values written back in the 1940's and the first price guide to Native American Artifacts. If you have any questions please feel free to email and I'll get back to ASAP. This point is guaranteed to be 100% authentic and unaltered. Thanks, Mooch
