This is a really cool old item. I sure wish I knew how to categorize or describe it. I will just describe how it works, and then hopefully between that and the pictures you will be able to figure out what it is that I\'m selling.This is a small metal box - cast iron actually. It has a slot in the front for you to insert a nickel. Once you do that, you can press down on the cast iron lever on the right and it will do a couple things. First, I think it kicks the red box with the dice inside to make them \"roll\", and second it pushes the nickel down in to the coin box.At this point, the dice \"roll\" and then come to a stop with whatever faces showing. I suppose it is up to the owner / operator to handle the payout of whatever bets were cast. I don\'t think this machine pays anything out. There is a little door that seems to hinge or open on the left side, but I can\'t tell what it is for. Maybe there is some kind of payout, but if so I sure don\'t understand it. Maybe this is supposed to dispense small pieces of gum like chicklets? I think that is what trade stimulators were supposed to do?There is a lock on the bottom that allows access to the inside to collect the nickels and perform service or whatever. I do not have the original key to this lock, but if you just turn it with a screwdriver, it works.I don\'t know what to ask for this item, so I\'m inclined to let determine its value. I\'m going to start it at $99 with , although I believe it is worth far more than this.If you know anything about this, let me know and I\'ll add it to the listing.
