Up for sale is a very rare 19th century Dent London two-day chronometer naval ships deck clock. This clock is a very fine quality and I believe rarely found 19th century example. The clock does wind and run nicely with key as seen. I do not know a great deal about this clock myself I am sure it could be dated specifically by the serial number. I could not figure out how to open to the movement that is well sealed within the gilt brass casing. The top lid has a slight bend that could possibly be remedied if desired. The clock, and clock case are otherwise in good estate-fresh condition as seen. The clock case measures 7 1/2 inches square and tall. The clock measures 4 5/8 inches wide. It is well worth looking into this deck clocks value. I believe examples by Dent London rarely come up for sale, mostly being offered without reserve!
