This is an antique Barbour Silver Co. Quadruple silverplate hollowware Brides Basket, stemmed with swing handle. It needs polishing but it looks to be in good shape. No dings or anything other than minor signs of age & use. It doesn\'t look like it was mistreatedand it\'s rather heavy & sturdy. Has grapes & binging grape leaves around the edge of the bowl/basket. The stem/stand is pierced withrepouss\'eof leaves. The swing handle is sturdy with an art Nouveau designed around it. Can carry it and it sits flat on bowl when down. From 1921 to 1931, the company also made an extensive line of \'Dutch\' silver, plated on copper. In 1921, Barbour Sterling was transferred to the Wilcox & Evertsen plant. The plant closed in 1931 and the trademark was retired from active use.
