Up for sale is an adorable original 1950\'s American Character 17\" Baby Doll. She has rooted hair and is a drink and wet Baby Doll. I believe she is the \"TOODLES\" baby doll but I could not find a Toodles doll that matched her size. Most Toodles are 19\" on up.She is in very condition and is wearing what I believe to be her original Blue and White frilly party dress. She is a little over 17\" tall and is marked on the back of her neck: \" AMER. CHAR. DOLL.\" Her arms, legs, body, and head are all made of a semi-soft vinyl. She has light reddish-brown rooted hair (NOT as red as the photos show, though).Baby\'s complexion is very fair with slight blushing on the cheeks (more on the right cheek than the left). Her big blue pinwheel eyes are bright and full of personality. Her right eye is pure blue, while her left eye is a green-blue color. Kind of like how some peoples\' eyes are different colors. Her little nursing mouth is painted a bright dark pink color. I see no flaws on her face. All the colors are bright and there are no scratches, marks, stains, or cuts. Her light brown eyebrows may have faded just a little bit, as did her lower eyelashes. Her brush upper eyelashes have remained full and dark with no noticeable missing lashes. Her short curly rooted hair is shiny and bright and I do not see any areas of missing hair. She is fully and tightly jointed and can pose well. Her body and limbs are in excellent condition. All fingers and toes are accounted for with no chew or bite marks.
This sweetie is wearing an adorable Baby Blue and White polka dotted sheer party dress. I think the material is Organdy. It is frilly with white lace around the sleeves, neckline, and in the front. It closes in the back with 2 metal snaps. It is bright and clean and free of defects.
This sweet baby has no unpleasant odors. We are a smoke-fee and pet-free home. For a 60-ish year old baby doll she looks awesome and would make a great addition to your Baby Doll collection.
