This sale is for a Vintage Conn Victor Model 4A Cornet with tuning mechanism. Made in Elkhart Ind. USA. Serial number is 212993 and I believe this dates it to around 1924. Comes witha case and aHolton Mouthpiece. The bell measures about 4 3/4\" in diameter and the horn is about18\" in length with the mouthpiece installed. I have been told this is the model 4A but if anyone knows for sure please let me know. Please contact me for a shipping price if s calculator is not working. Normally it will cost around $15 to $20 for shipping to the lower 48. Worldwide Shipping also available. This horn in overall good condition for its age. As you can see the horn hassomesmaller dents and dingsand it could use a complete cleaning and polishing. The three valves move freely and feel good when played. The slides are free and slide well, they could use cleaning.The lacquer is worn andpitted in some areasas you can see.The bell has a few smaller dents and some worn and scratchedlacquer. One of the lower valve caps is not original. A previous owner has etched many letters in to the lacquer on the back of the valve section (see picture with arrows pointing to these etched letters).
