Vintage Cartier 1950s bedside 8-day alarm clock in a heavy brass case. The chess board design is in rough condition because somebody long ago sprayed a strong cleaning solvent on the brushed case. Dial is beautiful. Case size is 3.25\" high X 2.24\" left to right. Thickness is approx. 1\". Only the dial\'s face is marked Cartier. Number on back of case is 590-1, while clock\'s movement housing is marked 533082. I do not know name of movement maker and I am NOT going to open the back to find out. Under Cartier is marked \"Antimagnetic.\" Above the 6 o\'clock marker is marked, \"8 Days\" and just below that is, \"15 Jewel Lever.\" Below the 6 is marked, \"Swiss.\" Movement for sure needs to be cleaned and oiled. I will guess it has not been cleaned and/or oiled in over 40 years. Has been sitting in my storage for over 20 years. Sold as-is.
