This is a pro model 1958 Olds Mendez trumpet (serial #199355) with 1st and 3rd valve triggers (one of my favorite features) that I no longer am playing. It plays well and the valves and valve compression are excellent. Over the years it has picked up scratches and a few dings but nothing major. The horn was done in sliver about 25 years ago. Overall the silver is in good shape but has worn so you can see the brass right where the left index finger contacts the bell obove the valves. To fix a 3rd valve leak, a patch was put on the bottom of the 3rd valve slide (picture 6). The first brace between the lead pipe and bell was resoldered quite a while ago (picture 7). The case is the original and the latches both work. Since I took the original pictures, I have replaced the valve felts which are the original Olds green color. The horn plays beautifully and will make an excellent instrument for the winning buyer.
