Vintage 1960 BIG 32\" Ideal Saucy Walker Playpal Doll, Darling Toddler Girl
Price: US $129.49
This is Saucy Walker, the biggest version of the doll made by Ideal. The name \"Saucy Walker\" can be confusing to collectors because Ideal used the name for several different dolls, in the 1950s and then again in the 1960s. So, to be clear: This is the enormous Saucy Walker doll made in 1960, intended to look like a real, life-size toddler girl. She is marked on the back of her neck: Ideal Toy Corp BYE 3235. She is also marked on her back.  This doll comes from the estate of her original owner. She was gently played with and is in very nice shape! She has green-blue eyes that open and close as they should, and all of her eyelashes. None missing. Her honey colored hair is in the original baby \'do, and she has a nice head of hair. I don\'t see empty plugs or evidence of haircuts (the dolls came with this hairstyle). Her face paint is all original and really nice -- gently blushed cheeks, pink lips with no rubs, feathered brows. Beautiful face. Her body has no cracks or other damage. I don\'t know how to make her walk. She can only raise her arms up part of the way (to her waist) in front, but I\'ve been told this is how they were made and has something to do with the walking mechanism? I am not that familiar with Playpal walker dolls. She is fairly floppy because her stringing is original and has loosened after 55 years, however, I was still able to get her to stand unsupported for my photos. She is pretty clean but does have some reddish staining in a few places on her arms and on the back of her neck, which I suspect is from clothing she wore long ago. Saucy is wearing a vintage child\'s dress that was with her when I got her; it is factory made and has the bare remains of a Nannette tag inside. She also has a darling, sheer voile pinafore tagged Her Majesty. Saucy has on real vintage little girl panties with adorable lace ruffles in back over her rear, and little bows. Really cute. She has on old white knit socks, and wears her original black maryjane shoes. Both shoes have their straps, but the silver tone buckle is missing from one of them. I am thinking this could probably be replaced/repaired. Just a very sweet doll in this harder to find size.  She is ENORMOUS and will need an equally gigantic box. No, I can not cram her into a smaller box.  I charge actual cost using the calculator, which bases postage prices on the size and weight of the package, and your distance from me via our zip codes. I am on the west coast, so the closer you are to California, the cheaper postage will be. Thank you for looking.
