This BIKINI was purchased in Saint-Tropez, France in the summer of 1957.It was custom made. There are no labels. I think it is cotton calico. It is extremely well made with a brass zipper on the side of the bottoms and a sturdy hook and eye for the strapless bra closure. The elastic is in perfect condition and there are stays in the bra cups. It has been well preserved, wrapped in tissue paper for the past 50 years, since my mother never allowed me to wear it from the moment I brought it home.This bikini is animpeccablespecimen of a 1950\'s French Biniki.
