WOW! WOW! WOW! Up for offers Very Rare and beautiful, original, ca1900, Large Size, Tin Lithographed, Pope Leo XIII Giveaway / Premium Advertising Serving Tray. This wonderful, large size oval shaped, Tin Litho Tray measures approx. 13 1/2\" by 16” and features a wonderful portrait of Pope Leo Xiii - at the time the oldest reigning Pope and the second longest serving.


The Tray features a beautiful image of the Pope wearing white vestments and draped in a red robe. He is seated at a draped table and conferring a blessing.


Text on the front side of the Tray reads DRINK MO-KA COFFEE 20 Cents Per Pound. The only manufacturer\'s mark on the Tray reads \"No. 39\" and although the name of the manufacturer is not printed on the Tray we are quite sure that it was made by The Tuscarora Advertising Company of Coshocton, Ohio as a stock design that could be customized for any advertiser. The rim of the Tray features the destinctive Tuscarora “feathered” design.


This beautiful ca 1900 Premium Tray is not a reproduction, reissue or restrike but is an original, turn of the 20th century Tin Lithograph Tray manufactured by the Tuscarora Advertising Company. as a stock item and produced, in this case for the Mo-Ka Coffee Company. Although the Tray is not dated, we know that the Tuscarora Advertising Company existed from 1887 to 1901 only.


This very rare and very attractive, turn of the 20th century, Tin Litho Advertising Tray is in very good condition. The Tray is very attractive and displays nicely but does have some shallow dents and minor surface blemishes as can be seen in the scans below. There are no large areas of surface loss and the surface is sound and stable. The back side of the tray has some light wear as can be seen in the scans below.
