This sale is fora vintage,die-cast metal Star Zinger-Z soldier / robot in box-item # 883 made in Korea. Box & robot are in excellent condition, complete & all original-free of repairs & restoration. Robot is heavy, well made, articulated, in great shape and undamaged. The paint is in nice shape and free of rust & wear, good movement to parts. All accessories are included & in great shape too. Box has wear and is in very good condition-no torn or crushed areas, free of tape, repairs and added markings-no holes or missing flaps. Plastic window in clear and is not attached to box. Extremely rare robot in amazing condition.
This Star Zinger - Z (or Starzinger - Z) Grendizer toy was made in Korea by Clover. Whether this Clover company is actually related to the Japanese Clover company is up for debate, but that does not lessen the demand for this piece. Whether because of its rarity, the possible Clover connection, or just a variation of this popular robot, this is a coveted piece among collecctors. A few other toys made similar to the Popy molds were also released by this company under the Star Zinger - Z line. The toy itself is solid & similar to the Popy one. The most notable differences are the yellow harikens, yellow groin piece, and stickers.
