New message from: jaquine2 (367)FYI, this is one of the rare solid sterling silver belled Reynolds horns (the script \"L\" on the bell is a \"pounds sterling\" mark). SN 705 puts this in the first year of manufacture, i.e., 1936. I actually happen to own the exemplar sterling silver model on Contempora Corner yours is even earlier.
Wow So many questions so early in the sale Its only fair to answer all for all to see so here goes My research seems to be spot on as confirmed by the response above . Yes there is a pound Sterling mark above the etching on the bell .This adds to confirm A Reynolds Professional model A . The bell and tube is all sterling silver up to the first valve . The SN # 705 does place this in 1936 . Yes the mouth piece tube is out of line .Yes the Valves do move freely but like all used instruments this too will need a cleaning lube and tune up to play better The mouth piece is a Costello A X . No there is no id on the case
As to postage Yes I will use your pre paid UPS Label Yes Local pick up is ok I do not like to but I will Post international but you must get the estimates and include insurance and pay . . Yes this will be bubble wraped

Last minute info I brought this instrument to acquaintance who is a Hart music School Grad and professional horn player . His impressions : 1 He never head of a Reynolds 2 The bell is slightly smaller than the horn he plays giving this one a brighter tone . 3 Although the valves all moved and tuning tube all moved the horn will need a cleaning lube and tune up to play better .Same with the cork on the spit valves 4 He noticed one bracket may have been re soldered 5 He noticed the valve fingers tops may be of pearl ...He said\" May be \" I don\'t know... He did notice the mouthpiece tube is out of line as I had described 6 He did notice all valves had the same serial number He did notice that The thread to valve cap # 1 was dinged It didn\'t effect the valve just something he noticed . Thats the best I can do folks I hope i gave you enough info Good luck offer well purchase used as describe AS IS
