Thrilled to have acquired a lovely batch of French textiles from an old upholsters shop closed long ago. Some are large lengths, some smaller remnants and pieces left from various projects. All magnificent pieces for design work of all sorts.
This length is a stunning linen Indienne type floral. Gorgeous, joyful length done in an 18thc inspired type floral pattern. Gorgeous uplifting palette of yellow, pink, red, green blue and lavender. A fabulous textile from about the 1940\'s-early 60\'s time frame. Both elegant and a little folksy as well. Very good quality piece, refined. Lovely for home pieces as well as clothing elements, bags, patchwork and period doll dressing as well. Could also be used for decorative type upholstery such as chair back or small stool/bench/ottoman etc.. It is mid/larger in scale (but not enormous) and mid density. The flowers are somewhat free flowing.

~*It is in good strong condition for it\'s age, appears overall clean though I have done nothing to it. I noted just a bit of tanning on the edge from years of storage but is not detracting in the least and should clean well if preferred. Simply gives it a slightly more aged nuance which is lovely on this. Appears unused though I found a few threads on the edge so likely a project not finished as were many of the pieces I acquired. In very good order to work with.
