Vintage Hagen Renaker Thumper #5020 Miniature 1956 Disney Figurine

Hagen Renaker made the first pieces for Disneyland when it opened in 1955. They continued to make pieces until 1960 when the license expired. This Thumper figurine dates to around 1956. The eyes on later issues of the Disney pieces were a solid black dot with no white detail. Thumper was designed by Helen Perrin Farnlund.

Goofy stands just under 1-1/2” tall. He is in good condition, even though he does have a small nick on the end of his right ear (see photos). He also has some minor crazing, which is common in glazed pieces. He no longer has his cardboard card, but close examination of the base indicates he was once glued to one.
