Vintage Langevin EQ-270A Passive EqualizerLet me start by saying that I usually don\'t use words like \"Rare\" to describe sale items. The term gets abused by so many sellers pushing products that are about as rare as politicians on election day, and I don\'t want to be found in that camp. All that said, I think this item deserves to be called \"rare.\" It\'s not that they are few and far between. Many studios have EQ-270A (or their near-twin, the EQ-252A) equalizers in their racks, but not many want to sell them--and when they become available, they aren\'t on the market for long.
This classic from the 1960\'s has been professionally cleaned and bench tested, and is in good working condition, but as with all vintage electronics it comes with no guarantees. The worst part of this unit is the broken knob on the seventh slider. I wish I could find a matching replacement. Maybe you\'ll have better luck than I had.The best part of this unit is how well it\'s built--solid as a brick and twice as heavy. Quality construction throughout, an impressive flashback to the 1960\'s.
