This is the first heavy 7 1/2 inch Alexander-kins doll made in 1953. She has a glued on wig over the molded head of the former Quiz-Kins. Her eyes open and close with ease. She is able to free stand, but could be restrung as her legs and arms are a bit loose. She has a bit of glue on top of her double stitched wig (perhaps a former owner glued a hat on her). The dolls face has retained its bright coloring. There appears to be some clear glue residue on her left bottom and left seam, not sure if this a factory or repair glue. Also, there is a scratch mark on the back of her right leg calf, factory made? A bit of light soiling from use and age.
