This child-proof record player, manufactured in America by thethousands duringtheEisenhower era, is in excellent condition. It's clean and without markings, and it still plays like new in 45 or 33 rpm. Its plastic closing tab -- missing on so many of these collectible players -- is still intact and works perfectly. We would describe this item as completely without blemish except for one flaw: its little red plastic handle is missing (which is barely noticeable).
The accompanying records with read-along books are what make this offering special. All 12 of these Disney classics are in very good to excellent condition. None of the books or record labels have any handwriting, stickers, torn pages or damaged covers. The records, though showing signs they've been played, all play without skipping and withjust minor surface noise, if any. The copyrights on them range from 1966 to 1981. Here is a list of the 12, with notation of a minor flaw on three of them: Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Dumbo, Peter Pan, Cinderella (minor crayoncoloron two pages), Robin Hood, Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too, Bambi (an audible scratch), Pete's Dragon, Treasure Island, Jungle Book, The Fox and the Hound (small piece of tape on seam between final page and inside cover).
