This listing is for a Vintage Mr. Mercury Toy Robot made by Marx Toys in Japan about 1963. The blue and gray robot is what many identify as the second version of Mr. Mercury, it was issued before the gold version came out.This was my toy as a boy, and it has been kept in a box in a closet for many, many, years, I think we got it from Sears.It is blue and gray, and shows its played with age, however it has all of it's parts, none of them seem to be broken, and although dusty and dirty, there is not much fade, because it's been kept in a box of toys for about 50 years. The plastic battery box is clean, with no acid rot, and latches good. The remote wire is in good shape, but I put 2 batteries in to see if it works, and it DOES NOT WORK. The tin tab on the back reads "Marx Toys" "Made in Japan" "Louis Marx & Co. Inc". I have plenty of good PICTURES to look at and will take more if you need me to. If you have a question ask. What you SEE is what you get.
