VINTAGE PLANTERS \"MR. PEANUT\" CAST IRON STATUE/POLE SITTER
Extremely Rare item in the world of Planters Collectibles.AUTHENTIC, NOT A REPRODUCTION!Low Reserve.
Very good used condition. Paint is flaking in some areas but in great shape considering it was an outdoor item for many years. It is mounted on a heavy wooden secure base. Included is a letter signed and dated from the original owner who was a former manager at the Wilkes Barre,PA Planters Peanut Plant.Framed photograph of the Wilkes Barre, PA Planters Plant from which this Mr. Peanut Statue used to sit on a pole out front. All of the Mr. Peanut Pole Sitters were removed in the 1970\'s. Very few of these remain today.The hat does not come off, not sure if it is stuck permanently due to being weathered through the years.
I cannot crate up and ship this item, however I will gladly work with your shipping agency or work with the buyer to allow sufficient time to pick up in person (remember this is fairly heavy).
