Serial number 398658. Including original #3 Olds mouthpiece and hard case.
This is a great piece from the manufacturer Olds. It is a brass slide trombone Ambassador model with original #3 mouthpiece and hard case. This trombone is great for a student or seasoned player.
High quality made in America. Plays nicely. Slide moves freely. Spit valve works well. It is in good condition (made in 1948-1949, I believe) for its age. It has obviously been around for a number of years as there are scuff marks and some small dents. Notably, there is a dent at the bottom of the slide just below the spit valve (see picture) but doesn\'t seem to effect the sound and the spit valve opens and closes smoothly. Also, case is missing its handle. I would recommend having it looked over by a music shop and also clean it up a bit before playing.

Overall, nice trombone that I have kept as my personal trombone for a number of years. Because I haven\'t been able to practice much over the last few years I feel this nice American made instrument will be more appreciated by a new ambitious musician.
