Age based on serial number dates it from 1947 -1972 The case is old as well worn it has plenty of wear that seems to be older than 1972. Serial number on the number 2 valve is 709984

scratches and wear all over the instrument. Some dents in the lower horn area. needs to be looked before playing again.

(1) JET-TONE AL HIRT MODEL A, VINCENT BACH CORP 17C, VINCENT BACH CORP NEW YORK 12. (2) The serial number is 709984 (3)Yes all slides work and loo to be oiled. (4)NO (5) Unknown about worn valves I do not believe so but it has obviously been played. I asked the original owner and he said he was playing this all the time until his medical condition got so he could not play anymore. Less than 5 years ago. It says Fullerton California on the bell.
