Offered in this sale is a vintage finely hand painted Palekh black lacquer Russian box decorated with a fairy tale scene of Chezypouka the Snow Princess and rabbits in 1983 by Sergey Bakalov. It measures roughly 5 3/4\" long x 3 7/8\" wide x 1 5/8\" deep. It comes with its original sales paper. It is marked on the underside of the base MADE IN USSR and is also signed and titled by the artist on the cover just below the painted scene. The condition is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines, scratches or restoration. Please be sure to enlarge and zoom each image for a close up view of the detail and condition.
