VINTAGE RALPH REGHI HEN CANVASBACK DECOY MICHIGAN EARLY VERY RARE OP
Price: US $170.50

Up for sale is a very rare and early Canvasback high-head hen made by Ralph Reghi of Detroit, Michigan, ca. 1935.  The decoy body is cedar which proves its early origins as Reghi switched to lighter balsa wood after 1938.  This decoy body is in good original paint while the head has had some touch up.  Nice high head form with excellent bill carving detail that is typical of Reghi’s fine work. This working decoy does show some wear with some rubs to the bill tip, head and tail.  Also shows some dings and shot marks.  There is an old chip underneath the bill that has been touched up. Original glass eyes.  The keel has been removed.  Measures 16-1/2” long; 7-1/2” wide; and 6-3/4” tall.  Please ask questions or for more pictures.  Shipping includes insurance and is higher outside of the USA.  Thanks for looking.
