Acquired fromthe estate of Broadcasting Executive Walter B. Lake, thisRCA 44 BX Microphone is a rare piece of music history. It sat on Mr. Lake\'s desk as a prop and has no interior working parts. Mounted onan original RCA Type 91-A base, this unique piece is the outer casing from an original RCA 44 BX Microphone used in a broadcasting studio. The cast iron base measures8\" wide and is marked 91-A in raised numbers along with the stock number4056-3DA4.

Circa 1930\'s, this RCA Microphone is in good condition withminor scratches to the base.Walter Lake had a long and distinguished careerin broadcasting beginning as sales manager for Inland Broadcasting in Idaho. Heserved as Executive Vice President of the McGavren Guild Radio Representativesin Hollywood and later became the President and Owner of KARM Radio Fresno,California.This is a greatconversation piece and looks awesome with any vintage broadcasting room decor.
