This is a broiler/griddle attachment for use with a Westinghouse roaster oven. It doesn't look like it has ever been used, but one corner of it is bent like someone hit it with a hammer or something. It's not as noticeable from the top, but you can see it in one of the pics from the bottom. It does not effect the function of the broiler in any way at all. I plugged it in and it heated up very fast. Of course, it is a very old appliance, so use at your own risk, but I personally would have no qualms about using it daily. It has to be used on the rack that comes with the oven. It can be used as a griddle, or the deflector on the bottom can be removed and the unit can be used to brown/broil whatever has been cooked in the oven.
