This sale is for a small vintage Royal Doulton two-faced Mephistopheles character jug with the devil verse on the base. This is a different, smaller version of the Mephistopheles jug that I recently offered on . I don’t know the age of this jug. See the third photo above for the Royal Doulton markings on the base which I\'m sure will pinpoint the approximate age to someone more knowledgable about Royal Doulton than I am. This is a small jug measuring just 3-1/4” at its tallest point.Please read this description and review the close-up photos carefully. This jug is in great shape with just some crazing in the glaze on the outside bottom. No cracks, chips, or repairs. No stains, spots, or crazing inside the jug (only the crazing on the outside bottom). The base has minor scuffing around the edges as you can see from sitting on a shelf. White color on the base looks a little bit splotchy as you can see (not perfectly white). Any suspicious-looking white spots you see are just glare from my camera’s flash. NO weird odors. NOTE: This is the last character jug that I currently have.
