Wouldn't She Be An Easter Basket Treasure!
This doll is from my personal collection which I am beginning to sell off. I am retiring soon and this little girl will need a new caregiver. I know very little about the Ginny Vintage Community because I've not purchased or sold dolls in many years. Most of the information I will include is from notes I took on these dolls as I collected them years ago.
This is a vintage strung, painted lash Ginny. She has nice spice brown sleep eyes which can be stubborn, but work with a gentle nudge. She has her original blonde flip wig! It is so soft and has such a beautiful style. Her brows and lashes are a pale blonde color - not green.
Ginny is wearing a very crisp Candy Dandy #56 from 1954. Thedress is made from organdy material - there is a pale green underskirt with a white skirt over the top. The layers are sewn together. There is white lace trim and beautiful pale green silk ribbon at the bodice and sleeves. There is the cutest chicken with chick among flowers sewn onto the lace at the hem! There is some age/dust at the back shoulder of this dress; otherwise it is very crisp and clean looking.
She has matching fat pants that have good elastic. Her horsehair bonnet is strung with its original pale green silk ribbon that matches the ribbon on the dress and ties at her chin. The silk flowers look like they just came from the store, though they are all original.
She has on vintage white nylon socks and green heel-less plastic shoes that are appropriately marked. Thesnaps work beautifully.
Ginny has a strung Vogue body. She has a lovely complexion with beautiful cheek color. Her coloring is wonderful. I see no seam splits or staining.I only sell within continental U.S. and buyer is responsible for all shipping charges including insurance. Please look at photos carefully. This doll is vintage from 1954 and was originally a child's toy. Considering this, she is in exceptional condition but does have a few minor faults.
I hope she finds a new, loving home.
Although I have started her price low, she is in excellent condition and worthy of any vintage collection.
EDIT: I'm sorry, but I don't put the shipping dollar amounts in the sale. It is an automatic thing generated by e-bay, based on my zip code to your zip code. To be honest with you, since I've been sending these items over the past two weeks, every buyer has paid me less than it has cost to ship the item. (I've even taped copies of the receipts to the sides of the boxes for the buyers).

I ONLY ship priority mail with insurance to protect me as a seller and to make sure the doll arrives at the destination safely. I also double box. I don't want anyone to be disappointed.
Should anyone pay more for shipping than it costs to send the item, I will happily do a partial refund for the difference. I hope this responds to collectors' concerns.
