This is a vintage tin lunch box/pail with lithograph art featuringMickeyMouse and otherWalt Disney characters. The lunch box dates fromthe 1930s. The bottomof the box is stamped with \"HANDY PATENT 1737249\".
The box is in very good to excellent condition for its age. The paint isstill bright and vivid and there are only a few scratches here and there.There are a couple spots where it looks like there is someresidue fromadhesive tape. There is no rust inside or out and only a light amount ofoxidation on theunpainted lid. The inside is very clean.The handles onthe box are well attached and movefreely. Please have a look at thephotos as they probably provide thebest description.
The box measures about 8.5\" across, 5.5\" from front to back andabout 6.5\" tall (to top of handles).

Someone sent me an email asking why the lid was barewithout paint thinking that it was not the original. I askedmy mother about (the lunch box was her\'s as a child) andshe said that unfortunately and against her better judgementshe put the lid in the dishwasher to clean off some driedon food. The dishwasher took off the dried food and sadlyalso the paint on the lid. So the lid is original, but as youcan see from the photos it is without any paint.
