vAn old York trumpet in the original case, the case is pretty well used up but still intact, the trumpet is marked \"YORK\" Custom Model, the mouthpiece is marked Maxwell and also has M-4 marked on it, the Lifton case has 3 stickers on it and each have the date 1953, the Lifton sticker on inside the case indicates it is from 1946, the Lifton Co. was started in 1918 and closed in 1973. A plastic plate covers the name tag that bears the name of J. Frank Dobie ll, which would be the son of THE J. Frank Dobie the author of many books about the early times and old West days and also the author of many newspaper articles, I can recall reading the paper articles in the early \'50\'s. Everything on the trumpet appears to be intact and working however I know nothing about a trumpet or any musical instrument but nothing shows to be broken or missing to this untrained eye, there is a leather piece fitted around the 3 cylinders that are topped with the pearl looking finger buttons. there is also a black cone in the case that measures 6 1/2\" tall, 5/8\" diameter on the small end and 2 3/4\" diameter across the large end, it is hollow inside and may have nothing to do with the trumpet but it was in the case so I will leave it there, the case has an old musky smell when opened.

AFTER A QUESTION FROM A VIEWER AND CLOSER OBSERVATION I NEED TO POINT OUT THAT ONE OF THE THREE VALVES IS A MITE SLOWER REBOUNDING, THE ONE THAT IS CLOSEST TO THE MOUTHPIECE IS THE ONE, WHEN PUSHING IT DOWN IT LOOKS FINE BUT IF PUSHED ALL THE WAY DOWN IT IS A TAD SLOWER ABOUT COMING BACK UP AND WHEN FIRMLY PUSHED AND HELD FOR A SECOND IT WILL STICK FOR A FEW SECONDS BEFORE REBOUNDING, DID NOT NOTICE UNTIL QUESTIONED ABOUT IT AND IF ANYONE THAT HAS offer ALREADY WANTS TO WITHDRAW THERE WILL BE NO PROBLEM HERE.
